Abstract
This abstract is the result of several researches dedicated to the analysis and definition of five strategies, whichhave enabled the conservation of archaeological remains of earth-made architecture located through Latin America.Based on the study of the structures relation with their cultural and natural environment, a series of notions aregenerated in the quest for a definition of theoretical principles that may be applied to the preservation of the uniquecharacteristics of earthen built heritage.Apuntes is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License. Thus, this work may be reproduced, distributed, and publicly shared in digital format, as long as the names of the authors and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana are acknowledged.
