Abstract
Quine's attack on the Standard Thesis (ST) on meaning has aprominent place in his philosophical position. This paper intends to point out some elements of his theory of meaning that offers itself as an alternative to the mentalist theories of meaning. We believe that Quine's theory of meaning is of outstanding importance in his overall philosophical approach.
