A Rearing Of The Discourse On The Method From Recognition Perspective
##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.details##
Abstract
With a different accent from the ‘epistemological’ version of the Cartesian discourse made by Ricoeur in The Course of Recognition, this essay stresses on its autobiographic plot, in no way scorned, as the very center of Descartes' reflection. His search for a method to find out the truth on sciences becomes an ongoing process of recognition of himself as a rational being, provided with his own intellectual history and needed of a method towards a truth with certitude. So, the Discourse on the Method is the first and foundational essay on ‘intellectual emancipation’ in French philosopher Jacques Rancière's sense.
