Abstract
An 86-year-old female patient with Alzheimer’s disease, arrives to the hospital with respiratory symptoms; initial work-up showed a round mass obstructing the intermediate bronchus, suggesting respiratory aspiration with a foreign body (pea). This case presents the association between geriatric syndrome and a preventable respiratory complication with rehabilitation and education.
