Abstract
Facing the difficulties of establishing a relationship between the academia fields of history and communications, beyond the simplest aspects of methodological tools, the objective of this article is to propose a debate between the theorical approaches of the American historian Hayden White and different authors whom have given the possibilities of articulating a theorical common place surrounding the social sensemaking and its analysis. In this attempt of placing the debate of the, historiographical discourse characteristics out of the field of academic history, the text proposes an articulation in two dialog axis between authors: the narrative characteristics of the scientific discourse and the relationship between producer and receptor of the discourse. In this theorical travel it is possible to encounter ways of understanding between the historical discourse and the social sensemaking.
