Abstract

As the digital culture connected with the most modern and advanced electronic information and communication technologies grows and expands, the interest to debate and build together ethical criteria that help train professionals and allow the management and Use of these resources in a more responsible and supportive manner in the different work environments. The most surprising advances in the field of cyberculture have caused a particular growth in the discussions around this area, more specifically in the ethical behavior among professionals.


This text, which recently appeared in the Brazilian media, is an important reference for those interested in an ethical professional training in the information age. The text presents new views on ethical practice in both teaching and professional practice. Contributions are combined from knowledge such as philosophy, sociology and information science, focusing on the formation and performance of the professional librarianship, librarianship and today's professional information science.
